EPNet is excited to announce that internationally recognized photographer Gabriele Boiselle will return to lead two workshops in the Ocala, Florida area in March, 2009. Last year were Gabriele’s first photo workshops in the USA and these were a big success. Gabriele brings a fresh perspective and passion for horses and photography that she is eager to share with workshop participants. After spending time with Gabriele you will be inspired and energized and you will see the world of horses and photography in a whole new way! Participants can expect to photograph at some of the top quality equine facilities so abundant in the Ocala area for some incredible photo opportunities. Get to know Gabriele by visiting this link and viewing the locations we visited during the 2008 workshop. Visit this link to view the photos last year's workshop participants took. Two separate workshops will be offered: One will be geared towards intermediate level photographers and the second will be for advanced and professional photographers. Participants in the advanced group will need to have a thorough working knowledge of their gear, be shooting digital SLR’s and plan to bring a laptop to the workshop. Come prepared for two full days of shooting, photo sharing and fun! Gabriele is a prolific photographer well known for her books and calendars, not just of horses, but also of wildlife. Her travels have taken her all over the world and she has also lead photo workshops in places such as Russia, Portugal, Morocco and Poland. You may see some of her work by visiting her website: http://www.editionboiselle.de/index.php For 25 years Gabriele has traveled the world to discover and document the universe of the horse, from the Namibian desert and the wild horses there, to the Gauchos in Argentina and the Criollo horses, to Iceland and India, to Lesotho and the Basuto pony and to Indonesia and the Zumba pony. For many years she photographed all manner of equestrian sports documenting a child’s first ribbon to the Olympic games and other international competitions, making her one of the most versatile and widely published photographers working today. Here is your opportunity to spend time with people that share your love of horses and photography and get direction and feedback from one of the world’s premiere equine photographers whose passion shines through in her work. Gabriele's main mission in her photographic work is to capture the soul and essence of the horse and she will attempt to share and convey this passion and knowledge with the workshop participants. In Gabriele’s words: “We have selected wonderful farms to be visited and you will see magnificent horses, Lusitanos with flowing manes, Gypsy Vanners in sparkling colors with feathered feet and beautiful Morgans and Paso Finos. In addition we will try to visit some of the varied horse sporting venues in the locale so rich with horse sport.” “I will take time to get to know you and what you expect and hope to get out of the seminar. I will do my very best to fill you with new ideas and fresh insights and inspire you. We will discuss cameras and lenses, different approaches to horses, different techniques to presenting horses, problems and challenges that we may have and so much more. I promise you there is so much to talk about that we will spend many hours together to discuss and analyze your images as well as your attitude how you approach horses."
